Our name—meaning "where the water meets the sky"—embodies our vision of creating new horizons for Indigenous people in specialised technical industries while delivering exceptional services to our partners across Western Australia.

Ashlea OAKLEY-NICHOLLS
Ashlea OAKLEY-NICHOLLS (nee Walley) is a proud Noongar/Yamatji woman born in Boorloo (Perth). Ashlea has strong ties to the South and mid-West regions in WA and her people are from the Badimaya, Amangu, Pindjarup, Ballardong and Yued language groups.
Ashlea has an extensive sporting background as well as previous modelling experience which culminated in her being a state finalist in the Miss Universe WA competition in 2012.
Ashlea was crowned the Miss NAIDOC Perth winner and ambassador in 2014 and as a proud Aboriginal woman was motivated to take part in the program to further develop her cultural knowledge, build on her self-confidence and to inspire other young Aboriginal women to be positive role models in the community.
Ashlea was also a member of the first Perth Aboriginal Emerging Leaders Advisory Group and was also nominated as a finalist in both the 2015 Women in Industry ‘Mentor of the Year’ Award and 2015 Perth NAIDOC ‘Female Youth of the Year’ Award.
Ashlea has always been passionate about being a leader for Aboriginal people, in particular young Aboriginal women and this shows in her previous work in multiple community and grassroots organizations.
In more recent years Ashlea has spent her time supporting the growth and development of the family-owned business Oaks Civil Construction all while being a mother to her 4 young children which is her greatest achievement of all.
